after using an exentric grinder, it went alot faster getting most of the gunk off
and voilla, a relatively clean tub
daggerboard in desperate need of some work
and thats kinda where were at right now. waiting for wednesday^^

data recovery still being postponed due to all the awesome little projects that come in between. also no pix again because i forgot to bring my cam back from the boat yesterday, where the sandings more or less done, so was doing some tests with the rotary tool on the hull and was looking into the shape and state of the daggerboard(if thats the right pronouncation harhar) wich is pretty banged up and part rotten. plan now is to strengthen it with stainless steel. gotta love being in a me...

quick update, have alot of cleaning work done, its almost time to start repairs and get me some sails.
i spent 10 hours with an exentric grinder(air) in my hands to get the crap off the hull. but the result is self explanatory:
pictures will have to wait a couple days as i just uploaded everything to my external hdd and it crashed for some odd reason.
still sorting out the data recovery. i always reccommended win 7 over 8(.1) and once again proven that their rediculously over...

This was a rusty wreck, 5 bucks worth of paint, some grease and a few hours taking it apart and putting back together, this is the result^^
Thanks Rob for donating the hunk of junk to me and thanx to CorKing for the viper green paint.
Since putting it back together, it has certainly turned some heads.

Right, shits been a little crazy these past few months and havent had much time to work on the boat.
But now spring is here, its starting to itch like crazy and naturally ive made time to at least get properly started on the hull.
Heres how its looking atm.

Mkay, arranged a spot to work on the boat!
Still gonna have to move it there between tomorrow and a few days but itll be grand, will have tools at hand, enough room and proper people walking around with great ideas every thursday evening.
Thanks pops for letting me use the space, i know its a bit of a burden to have it take up room in your storage.
Will be posting about the details and progress soon!

So ive been playing with the idea of getting back into sailing for over 10 years and last week i finally made the first step into my dreams of fixing up my own boat(or building at a later stage)
